Career Summary
I obtained my degree in architectural studies in 1970 (Newcastle University) and qualified as an architect in 1976; I have been a member of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) ever since. I became a member of the Institute of Management in 1982, and an architect Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC) in 1999.

After working in several local authorities and private practices, I established a practice with David Palmer in 1978. Since 1993 I have been a sole practitioner, with my own practice.
