Building Reports

I have prepared numerous reports over many years, covering numerous aspects of the industry, including feasibility studies, surveys of existing buildings, building defect reports, and related issues.
I have also acted as planning supervisor under the 1994 Health & Safety (CDM) Regs.

Specialist Reports on Building Defects
These have included reports on:
· fungus growth
· timber decay
· structural cracking
· stonework decay
· deterioration in plasterwork

An example of 'tell-tale' marker placed across crack to monitor movement

Plaster ceiling showing cracking in several places, also defective decoration

Stonework showing serious cracking, spalling and horizontal movement

Fungus growth -due to damp and unventilated conditions (fungus is over 2'0"/600mm long)

Timber beams showing signs of earlier decay and chemical treatment
